Since 1991, Eddy Le Garrec has been an influential figure in the fine wine industry, amassing over 25 years of experience. Originally from France, he relocated to Los Angeles in his late twenties and became a pivotal participant in the burgeoning wine market of the 1990s in the United States.

As a committed wine educator, Le Garrec has played a vital role in introducing and updating the renowned "Le Nez du Vin" program across wineries and educational institutions nationwide, significantly enhancing the olfactory skills of students and enthusiasts alike.

Following his successful tenure in California, Eddy established "W Wine Boutique" in Miami, which rapidly gained acclaim as the premier retail location for wines priced over $75 and Champagne throughout Florida. This endeavor earned him the prestigious title of "Outstanding Wine Shop" from Wine Spectator, culminating in the subsequent sale of the concept to SAQ Canada.

Upon completion of his three-year national non-compete agreement, Le Garrec re-entered the market by revitalizing the successful "W Wine Boutique" model in New York City, rebranding it as "Empire State of Wine."
